A Charity Beach Volleyball Tournament
Our goal is to fundraise and most importantly raise awareness to educate the public of the challenges that young deaf and hearing loss individuals have to face every day. These are especially difficult times right now with the public being required to wear face masks which causes further obstacles for the hearing-impaired community to communicate. We are hosting a unique charity event where earplugs are provided for participants to experience the challenges of the hearing impaired. This charity event include coed 4's volleyball tournament, celebrity/pro auction, silent auction, raffles, music and more! Come join us and support our cause on the sand.
For added fun there will also be social media contests where contestants will watch a muted clip and will guess what was said for a lip-reading challenge. Winners will be entered a chance to win a prize. Fans will also have the opportunity to walk in the shoes of the hearing impaired by being challenged to wear earplugs for a day and posting about their experience and what they found difficult. By tagging our Instagram page Volley4Sound they will be given a chance to win a giveaway prize. Last but not least, there is a T-Shirt Design Contest! Check all the details in the Registration Tab. So far, we’ve raised in excess of $50,000 in the past three years alone and we hope to continue fundraising for those in need.
We've raised money for a variety of nonprofit 501(c)3 organizations that support hearing loss. See below all the non-profits we've supported in the past and present.
No Limits for Deaf Children - "No Limits teaches underserved deaf children and their families the skills to succeed in school and in life through its after-school educational centers and distinguished theater arts program, promoting advocacy and awareness worldwide.
Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) - “The mission of HLAA is to open the world of communication to people with hearing loss by providing information, education, support and advocacy.”
HearStrong - "The HearStrong Foundation recognizes outstanding adults and children with hearing loss and gives them a platform to empower and serve others in need of hearing care."
John Tracy Center - "Provide parent-centered services locally and globally to children with hearing loss, offering families hope, guidance, and encouragement."
We would be incredibly grateful for any donation you're able to give at this time to help support our fundraising efforts.
Take care and stay safe!
